I purchased a 8 channel night owl dvr. I didn't get around to install it until about a year after I purchased it due to remodeling work.

So 8 months after installation which I verified to the company with the purchase of the extension cables, seven of the cameras quit, so after hours of being on hold and since it was well over a year from purchase, they wont warranty anything, not even offer a single camera. I could see one or two but seven, come on!

junk all around junk don't buy it! Spend a little more and buy from a reputable company, not night owl because their products, customer service everything about them is junk!

Product or Service Mentioned: Night Owl Security System.

Reason of review: Bad quality.

Monetary Loss: $400.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

I didn't like: Value, Value quality customer service product, On hold for hours for tech support, Customer service was either nonexistent or useless.

If you are counting on using it when you are out of town the app will stop working on your phone and you have to be at home with your phone to reload the app. Total BS. WiFi is WiFi so 1000 miles back home to resolve the problem.
