It’s saying offline when I got check my camera and when I hit setting it say please wait connecting and it’s not

Phone app wont stay connected. I have to remove device, re-add device and start over each time I want to view cameras.
This has never happened until recently... Why wont it stay connected?
My monitor and dvr work but can't get the app to work and customer support won't answer the phone or reply to an email, what *** product and service, seems like this was a waste of money, I will try to return it to Sam's club

I call to sams club today,he said I can’t get refund from club,since over purchase day. Too bad
Just bought night owl security system, worked for two days. Now it's offline, nothing works to get it back online. Not impressed.
You have to delete the device from your account on the app then log out. Go to the menu settings on the DVR, Advance then Load Default.
On this screen, check all except for General I think it was. It will reboot and go through the setup process but won't delete the recordings. After you sign in when the setup is done, sign in the app and see if it's working. If it's not showing in the app, you have to add it back.
Mine adds back automatically when I log in.
I've been having this issue for a while and contacted them multiple times in the chat. Going to end up switching to Lorex.
Well I powered off DVR disconnected network cable from DVR for about ten minutes. Plug network cable back in to DVR then powered on. Solved the issue
Having same issue. App works fine from home but as soon as I disconnect from home wifi it says "offline".
And when I log in from work computer I can see that my device is connected but no picture and it says offline. Worked great up until beginning of April.
Our cameras app stopped working a week ago.
We also have had our cameras set up for a year and suddenly they stopped working. I have tried everything and nothing will let my DVR and App on phone connect.
I’m seeing 2 other people have posted on here with same issue, hopefully we get answers to get our cameras working again!! If anyone figures out app problem please post on here!
I’m having the same issue. I’ve had night owl for about a year now.
Since Sunday (Easter) it’s been showing “connecting”. Normally we unplug, give a few then restart with the DVR which usually works but this time it doesn’t. I removed the DVR from the app and then tried to re-add but it didn’t help. I removed the app, that didn’t help either.
Also changed the pw and reset but still didn’t work. Someone help.
I have had night owl for a year now. And everything was working fine.
But it suddenly stopped working on my cell phone and laptop.
When I do to add devices it says add failure. Can someone please let me know how can I fix this issue.
App says OFFLINE after 1 day of restarting DVR. Night Owl customer support said the app is glitchy and I should change the admin password to only numbers.
I change the password on the DVR and couldn't login to the DVR via the app... had to change the DVR admin password back to a more secure version and it worked for about 1 day.
Restarting the DVR always gets the app working again. I think the problem is on the DVR's end not the app.
I installed 4 night owl security cameras on my home two days ago. They work fine in the monitor and on my phone when I'm home, but as soon as I leave the house, the app shows an offline message. What is the point on getting a security system if you can't monitor your house when you're not there!

I am not near the device at it is at my espresso cart but I cannot see on my home computer or cell phone it is always saying the device is offline. Can you please give me suggestions of how to fix in simple English I am not computer smart.
Bought my Night Owl from BJs. The first few days it worked perfect.
Then one of the cameras would be on for approximately 30 secs and then go off for about a minute. A couple of days after that debacle while trying to view my cameras on my phone far from home it says you are "offline".
But when I get home, the wifi gets it back. Wouldn't recommend this POS.
