I have a 8BL-DVR-1TB system that i purchased 4 years ago. It has worked great up until a few days ago when i had a power outage, One of my cameras went out but i unplugged it for about 5 minutes and plugged it back up and it cam back on.

After the power outage i also got the little red box with the letter "H" in it on the screen. Usually when this happened in the past i would format the hard drive and everything would go back to normal. I have done the hard drive reset several times since the power outage and it would reset to the record mode at first. I went into the record menu and set it to continuous recording and it started back recording but only for about an hour and then it will go back to the red box with the letter H in it.

I have spoken with technical support once by Chat and again to live support. The Chat was a joke because the person i was chatting with didn't know any more than i did! Then when i called the technical support by phone, my first problem was a got someone on the line that barely spoke english. Then she went back and pulled up my chat notes from a few days back and started harping on the power adapters.

these are the adapters that came with the system and it has worked fine for the past 4 years. Now all of a sudden the system has the wrong adapters! Well i truly believe it is something else. I even seen on line that it could be outdated firmware but the chat person stated that there were no firmware updates for my system.

If it's the adapters which came with the system, why will it record for a while and then go back to the red box with the letter H in it. I was a satisfied customer with Night Owl up until now where i can't get anyone with the tech team to help me get it back right!
